Two nationals of Tajikistan have been arrested in Moscow for publicly calling for terrorist activity through Internet.
Under the ruling handed down by Moscow's Tagansky District Court on November 22, Nozim Azimov and Uktamjon Rajabmatov were arrested for two months.
According to Tass, the sentence followed their conviction on charges of public calls for terrorist activity, public justification of terrorism or propagation of terrorism with use of Internet (Article 205 of Russia’s Penal Code) through Internet.
As the measure of restraint, the arrest until January 22, 2020 has been chosen for them, Tass said.
As of the beginning of 2019, more than 10,000 Tajik nationals were serving their jail terms in penal colonies in the Russian Federation, according to Fergana news agency.
