President Emomali Rahmon yesterday signed a decree on measures aimed at strengthening the level of population's social security and increasing public sector wage, pensions and allowances [scholarships], according to the Tajik president’s official website.
With the aim of improving the populations' living standards, raising the role of wages and the level of social security, the president decrees to raise wages of employees of federally funded institutions as well as pensions and student grants by 15 percent from September 1, 2020.
The amount of base salary for calculation of an official salary of employees of the health sector will be set at 305 somoni from September 1, 2020.
The amount of base salary as a basis for the wage coefficient for public servants of administrative posts of highest, first, second, third and fourth categories, local governments to be set at 620 somoni and for administrative posts of fifth, sixth and seventh categories to be set at 690 somoni.
The minimum monthly pension will be set at 207 somoni (15-percent increase) from September 1, 2020.
